Pavimentação da BA-480 beneficia 30 mil moradores na Chapada

A via tem uma extensão de 11 quilômetros

O deslocamento dos habitantes dos municípios de Iraquara, Carne Assada, Souto Soares e região da Chapada Diamantina vai ficar mais rápido e seguro com a entrega da pavimentação de trecho da BA-480, na manhã desta sexta-feira (12).

A via, que tem uma extensão de 11 quilômetros, fica entre a sede de Iraquara e o distrito de Iraporanga, beneficiando mais de 30 mil pessoas que moram nos locais próximos e utilizam a rodovia principalmente para transporte de pessoas e escoamento da produção agrícola. A cerimônia oficial de inauguração, realizada na Vila de Iraporanga, contou com a participação do governador Rui Costa, acompanhado do secretário estadual de Infraestrutura, Marcus Cavalcanti, e de outros representantes do Estado e dos municípios beneficiados.

À população da cidade de Iraquara, o governador falou sobre a importância do investimento na rodovia, da ordem de R$ 4,3 milhões. “As estradas que cortam o interior da Bahia e ligam os municípios aos distritos, como esta, permitem que a viagem de quem precisa seja mais segura, mais rápida. Queremos continuar investindo em cidades como Iraquara”, afirmou Rui.

Em continuidade à série de visitas às escolas no interior do estado, Rui Costa aproveitou a passagem pelo distrito de Iraporanga para visitar e conhecer as instalações do Educandário Roberto Figueira Santos, com cerca de 400 alunos desde a educação infantil até o ensino médio.

Já na sede do município de Iraquara, ele visitou o Centro Educacional Manuel Teixeira Leite, onde conversou com professores e visitou todas as salas, auditório e instalações administrativas. As demandas foram colhidas pelo governador e serão encaminhadas para a Secretaria de Educação.
